Drawing Inferences using Artwork

In Mrs. Hobson's sixth grade ELA class, students were instructed to infer what is happening in the painting. Afterwards students replicated the painting in their own art piece. When students were done with their artwork, they used their knowledge on story elements to create a narrative writing based on the painting. They used six story elements including characters, setting, plot, conflict, theme and as a bonus they included dialogue.
