Mrs Swain and Mrs. Whitworth’s 6th grade Science class learned a lot about potential and kinetic energy, gravity and centripetal force constructing roller coasters. Their roller coasters were required to have 1 loop and 2 twists while being structural accurate for a marble to make it all the way down the ride. Some made it on the first attempt while others had to got back to the engineer design process to reevaluate and make adjustments. Lots of “UGHs!”, laughter, and “hip hop hoorays!”, and loads of fun!
