What Is In Your Pond Water?

(9/12): Mrs. Whitworth's 6th grade science class has been learning about cells and the kingdoms of life. This week they are studying protists. Many of these unicellular organisms live in aquatic environments. Mrs. Whitworth brought in pond water for students to take samples, create a slide, and observe under the microscope. One group discovered a paramecium and algae moving and interacting with one another! The excitement was high in Room 8 Monday morning!
