AG Episode 15: Master Gardeners Guide 6th Grade Ag Students in Orchard Care

(2/23): Exciting news from the "PMS Orchard in the Hollow"! Master Gardeners Julia McDowell, Ina Graham, and Debbie Watson paid a special visit to our 6th-grade agriculture students, teaming up with our very own Mrs. Whitworth, who is also a Master Gardener, to teach the art of pruning pear trees. Mrs. Whitworth states she learned as much as the students and feels very blessed to have these gifted and knowledgeable gardeners to guide her and our students.
With expert guidance and hands-on demonstrations, students learned the importance of proper pruning techniques to ensure healthy tree growth and bountiful harvests. This valuable lesson not only enhances our orchard but also equips students with practical skills in horticulture.
