Taking Flight in Ms. Swain’s Science Classes

(10/1): Students in Ms. Swain’s sixth-grade science classes wrapped up their study of the forces of flight by putting their learning to the test with paper airplanes! After learning how lift, weight, thrust, and drag work together to make flight possible, students designed and flew their own paper airplanes to see these forces in action.
It was a fun, hands-on way to finish the unit and turn science concepts into something students could actually see, test, and experience. Sometimes science really is just an excellent excuse to throw paper airplanes in class!
