PMS PeerHelpers Training

(10/9): Our Peer Helpers participated in training by Mrs. Ritchie and Mrs. Mathews designed to build teamwork and develop essential skills for supporting others. Students were introduced to the Peer Helpers mission, motto, and code of ethics before participating in the “Roll With It” team-building activity. During the core skills training, they learned about connecting with others, active listening, understanding emotions and practicing empathy, healthy coping strategies, and self-care. Students also practiced recognizing when someone needs additional support and how to make appropriate referrals. These activities equipped our Peer Helpers with valuable tools to communicate effectively, show compassion, and make a positive difference in our school community!
