(11/29): The Pontotoc Middle School Spelling Bee was exciting for the participants. Congrats to Chloe Lyon for being the Spelling Bee Champion and Zaavan Nesbit for finishing second place. Many of our students spelled difficult words. Congrats to each of you!

(11/29): Congratulations to Ms. Frita Quince for being selected the Pontotoc Middle School Paraprofessional of the Year. Thank you for all you do for our school.

(11/29): Congratulations to Mrs. Lori Johnson for being named the 2023 Pontotoc Middle School Teacher of the Year! She is an asset to your building. Thank you for all that you do for every student!

(11/27): Thank you for your donations on the can drive at Pontotoc Middle School. We will continue collecting cans through December 15. All of these canned goods will be delivered to the local food pantry.

(11/27): Eighty-four PMS students danced the afternoon away as a reward for having perfect attendance during October. The students enjoyed the music while they danced in the halls. We are so proud of these Warriors!

(11/27): 5th grade UFO students combined art and math using tessellations. A tessellation is a repeated pattern with no gaps or overlaps. (Artist MC Escher was a master at tessellations.) After learning about the 3 different types of tessellations , students created their own tessellations.

(11/27): The PMS band students did an outstanding job at the fall concert a few weeks ago. They have worked hard all semester to learn how to play their instruments and read music. You can listen to them next week at the Pontotoc Christmas Parade on Monday, December 4 at 6 pm.

(11/17): These students have exemplified positive characteristics in the classrooms and halls this week. Congrats to these Warriors of Distinction!

(11/17): As part of our Kindness campaign we are having a “Can Food Drive” and these items will be donated to our local food pantry. Fifth grade students have currently contributed more canned goods than sixth grade. This is ongoing until December 15. Let's see how many carts we can fill with these canned goods!

(11/17): PMS is full of thankful hearts. The students wrote reasons that they are thankful and teachers displayed all the reasons on the turkey. PMS admin showed various ways of gratitude toward teachers and staff this week. On Friday, they prepared pancakes and sausage because no one stacks up to PMS teachers! Teachers are thankful for our appreciative leaders.
