Farm to Table
(9/12): Mrs. Whitworth's 6th grade Ag class is studying Farm to Table. They have discovered that most of what we have, eat, or use have ingredients and/or parts that derive from agriculture products. This week they used produce from their gardens to make a really tasty salad. The ingredients from the garden included lettuce, tomatoes, bell peppers, habanero peppers, banana peppers, and onions. Mrs. Whitworth and Mrs. Swain provided the cheese, bacon bits, croutons, and salad dressing to top it off. The students decided eating fresh, healthy foods isn't so bad after all.
