Exploring Artistic Horizons: Linocut Printmaking with 5th & 6th Grade Gifted Students
(10/25): We are thrilled to share an exciting artistic endeavor undertaken by our talented 5th and 6th grade gifted students. Over the past few weeks, students have delved into the captivating world of linocut printmaking, a traditional yet dynamic form of visual expression. Linocut printmaking involves carving intricate designs into linoleum or rubber blocks, which are then inked and pressed onto paper to create stunning prints. This process allows students to explore texture, contrast, and composition in their artwork.
We are delighted to share that their work will be on display during our upcoming Family Night Campfire & Bookfair on Monday, October 30 at Pontotoc Middle School. We hope to see you there!
