(10/27): The yearbook picture day at PMS will be Tuesday, November 8.

(11/3): These students were winners for a drawing we held during RRW activities.
They received prizes such as water bottles, drawstring bags, and fidget toys that
contained the drug free slogan.

(11/2): 5th graders in Mrs. Johnson's UFO class were inspired by R.L. Stine's Goosebumps books. Students created short stories with creepy characters and then designed book covers for their stories.

(10/24): Mrs. Corley's students helped to decorate the door for Red Ribbon Week as we discussed the importance of making the decision to stay drug-free. The theme for our door is "Life is sweeter when you are DRUG FREE."

(10/28): Pontotoc Middle School students and staff participated in Red Ribbon Week. From dressing up to decorating doors, students heard the importance of saying no to drugs.

(10/24): Mr. Anderson's local culture class made a balloon garland to promote Red Ribbon Week. The balloon arch was used on the school's bulletin board which encourages students to say no to drugs.

(10/13): The Scholastic Book Fair is coming soon to the Pontotoc Middle School. Students will find new books, favorite authors, and so much more the week of the book fair. The book fair will be October 31 - November 4, in the media center. Family Night will be Tuesday, Nov. 1 from 4 - 6 pm.

(10/21): This week Mrs. Wade’s class traveled to seven different countries while using context clues to understand the meaning of unknown words. Students watched videos to gain background knowledge about each country and worked in groups to “tour” each country. Students collected a token at each stop to place in their passports. Each student had so much fun learning about other countries and learning the meaning of new words!

(10/20): PMS students participated in the state wide earthquake drill. The students learned to "Drop, Cover, and Hold On!" if there was an earthquake.

(10/13): Pontotoc Middle School will celebrate Red Ribbon Week soon. This year's drug theme is “Celebrate Life, Live Drug Free.” We will celebrate learning the dangers of drugs and alcohol during the week of October 24-28. Some activities that students will participate in will be decorating teachers' doors, planting flowers, and speaking on the intercom.
