(12/13): Sixth and seventh graders who scored a 5 on last spring's MAAP test were rewarded with a trip to the local bowling alley this week. Students had so much fun bowling with classmates. Thanks to Holy Rollers for hosting our Warriors!

(12/13): Several students participated in the annual PMS Science Fair. The top winners will advance to the Regional Science Fair in Booneville, MS. Congrats to all who placed. All of the boards looked good .

(12/18): Congrats to PMS Parent of the Year, Mrs. Anna Claire Jefcoat. Thank you for all that you do for our school, teachers and staff.

(12/18): This Teacher Dress-Up Day, Mrs. Claus stepped in since Santa was busy preparing for Christmas! Dressed in her festive best, she spread holiday cheer to students and staff alike. Thanks to everyone who made the day merry and bright!

(12/18): Pontotoc Middle School's sixth grade computer science teacher, Ms. Amber Swain, has been selected as one of the participants for the Spring 2025 session of the Teacher Inquiry Group! She will join a small group of educators interested in developing equity-related knowledge/skills.

(12/12): As students visited the library the past two weeks, they were challenged with a scavenger hunt. The clues helped them solve "Why did the gnomes like going to the library?". They had to search on bookshelves, books, game boxes, and all around the library to find the clues. More scavenger hunts will arrive real "swift".

(12/10): Two teams of PMS Gifted students won 1st and 2nd place in this semester’s statewide Stock Market Game. These teams competed against over 120 teams in their division by buying and selling stock in a simulation and earning the most money over the semester.
1st Place- Decision Twisters (Jagger Parmer, Eli Williams, and Lydia Bowen)
2nd place- MCHS Investors (Cole McDonald, Samuel Salazar, Millie Claire Ross, and Hayden Cobb)
The Stock Market Game is an educational simulation that allows participants to experience the dynamics of the market in a risk-free environment. The game is used in Mississippi 4th-12th grade classrooms as part of investment education. Through this interactive experience, players learn about investment strategies, risk management, and the factors influencing stock prices. It is not only a tool for teaching financial literacy but also fosters critical thinking and decision-making skills in a dynamic and engaging way.
