(12/12): These students were recognized for positive praise.

(12/5): Students in Mrs. Koon's class have enjoyed the Christmas spirit by making ornaments. They made gingerbread ones this week while listening to Christmas music. They have also assembled Christmas puzzles and decorated Christmas pictures.

(12/5): Congratulations to these Warriors! They were recognized for showing good character to classmates.

(12/4): Mrs. Brumley's science students are finishing up their unit on Forces, Motion, and Energy. Throughout this unit they have used air for energy to make a straw travel across the room on a zip line. They have applied various materials to hot wheels ramps to determine which material creates the most friction. Students went on a virtual field trip ride, played tug of war and many other fun activities.

(11/21): Our 5th and 6th grade gifted students hosted a Medieval Manor Museum to showcase their hard work and creativity from their unit on Medieval Europe. Students worked in groups to create a medieval manor community from recycled materials and craft supplies. Each manor had elements that would've been found in a traditional village in Medieval Europe. Students also displayed their Illuminated Letter artwork and their Coat of Arms that illustrated their family values. They also created art from the perspective of someone standing at a castle's portcullis looking inward at the castle's courtyard scene. We are so proud of all of their hard work!

(11/21): While visiting the library during November, students wrote reasons that they are thankful.

(11/21): The PMS beginner band students did a wonderful job at their performance this week.

(12/1): Pontotoc Middle School’s 6th grade Agriculture students got a real taste of their hard work as they used vegetables from the school garden to make fresh pico de gallo! Students chopped homegrown tomatoes, onions, and peppers grown from their garden and then added a sprinkle of dried cilantro they dehydrated themselves to finish off their flavorful creations. A few adventurous chefs discovered the hard way that a little hot pepper goes a long way—sending them running for water amid plenty of laughter! It was the perfect blend of learning, teamwork, and farm-to-table fun.
