(10/22): Some PE students enjoyed the games in the Warrior Room last week. The learned new ones and competed to see who could win at air hockey and foosball. The tallest LEGO tower was fun to build, but the crash brought lots of laughs.

(10/10): Get Ready for S'More Reading! Scholastic Book Fair will be at Pontotoc Middle School October 28 - November 1! Students can shop before school, during break, or with theirELA classes. You can set up eWallet now for your child to shop the book fair.

Family Night will be Tuesday, October 29 from 4-6. This will be in front of library and cafeteria. S'mores and hot chocolate will be available after shopping the book fair! Come out and enjoy s'more reading with us at PMS Book Fair!

(10/18): Yearbooks are on sale! The Big Chief is for students in grades 5-8. They are currently $40 but will go up to $45 after December 20. Forms are in the PMS office or can be purchased on www.yearbookforever.com

(10/18): Our 6th-grade ag students have taken on a wiggly new project—building a worm farm! They’re raising these tiny helpers to collect worm castings, perfect for boosting soil health come spring planting. These wiggly workers and their wiggly worms are sure to make a difference in the garden. Until the next episode...keep wiggling!

(10/18): Our 6th-grade science students recently explored the fascinating world of fungi by dissecting mushrooms! In class, students carefully examined portobello mushrooms, while some lucky classes even ventured outdoors to compare them with wild mushrooms growing on campus. For safety, Mrs. Whitworth handled the dissection of the wild specimens. It was an exciting hands-on experience, bringing science to life right in our backyard!

(10/18): PMS Gifted students visited the US Space and Rocket Center in Huntsville this week. They recently finished a space unit where they learned about space travel and outer space. At the space center, students participated in space simulations, talked to real NASA rocket scientists, and saw artifacts from various missions to space. They had so much fun!

(10/10): Our 6th-grade ag students are busy learning the ropes of farm life by feeding chickens and rabbits, gathering eggs, and keeping everyone watered. Between dodging curious chickens and pampering rabbits, they’ve mastered the art of farm chores—with a little humor along the way. It’s all in a day’s work for these young farmers!

(10/10): Students in Ms. Swain and Mrs. Whitworth’s sixth grade science classes went full-on detective mode and swabbed random spots around the school to see where germs really live! 🦠 From door handles to backpacks (and maybe even a mysterious cafeteria table), our students grew bacteria in petri dishes, and it looked wild. Who knew science could be this gross and cool at the same time?!

(10/10): Mr. Bramlett met with a group of sixth grade boys this week. They listened to their guest speaker, Coach Jesse Clayton as he talked about perseverance. He reminded them of Joseph as he had to persevere throughout his life, but he continued to obey and trust in God. He related it to their lives that they will have to persevere in school - athletics, academics, and peer pressure.
