(9/25): PMS students will have Fall Break on October 11-16, 2024.

(9/25): School day pictures at Pontotoc Middle School will be Tuesday, October 1, 2024. Wear your best smile for the camera as you make memories of this school year.

(9/20): Our school counselor went into 6th grade classes this week and discussed bullying. Students talked about the definition of bullying, types of bullying, and ways to stop it. After group discussions, students tossed a bullying thumball around the classroom and read and responded to prompts about ways to identify and stop bullying. Some of the discussions included gossiping, cyberbullying, and exclusion. This was a fun way to encourage student reflections and allow for self-growth.

(9/20): PMS students wore black and gold to support their Warriors! Thanks to PTO for face painting this morning. The car riders loved getting welcomed by the cheerleaders! Play hard, Warriors!

(9/20): PMS recognizes our students who demonstrated positive characteristics in the classroom and on campus this week. Congrats to these Warriors!

(9/20): This week, our 6th grade agriculture students took a break from planting to get creative outdoors, making Nature Bracelets! With tape around their wrists, they collected leaves, flowers, and natural treasures to craft one-of-a-kind bracelets right from the garden. From dandelion designs to mossy masterpieces, the kids showed off their flair for eco-friendly fashion—proving that nature really is the best accessory! 🌿✨

(9/19): PMS students can get their face painted TOMORROW during football season to show their Warrior spirit. Volunteers will be set up in the hallways in the mornings. The cost will be $1.00.

(9/16): PMS PTO provided teachers and staff a popcorn bar, which was filled with a variety of flavored popcorn and all the toppings. Thank you for the wonderful snack to start our week.

(9/16): Our 6th grade science students got creative this week by turning cells into cities! To better understand cell organelles, students compared them to the parts of a city—like the nucleus as City Hall, the mitochondria as power plants, and even the cell membrane as the city limits! Their imaginative “Cell City” analogies made learning about the inner workings of cells fun and unforgettable. Who knew biology and city planning could go hand-in-hand?

(9/13): Students in 5th grade science classes are learning about volume. They practiced finding the volume of an irregular shape object by using a graduated cylinder.
