(2/11): PMS PTO shows their love for teachers with cookies and coffee. Thank you for the morning treats today.

(2/10): PMS students were recognized this week for the January AR Rewards. Depending on the points students earned, they were able to select a range of various rewards - soft drinks, lunch passes, sonic drink, pizza, and warrior room. PMS thanks Mr. Glenn Gillen from Piggly Wiggly for providing the soft drinks to our students who achieved 5 or more AR points this month. HUGE SHOUT OUT to Cayson Hankins from Farm Bureau in Pontotoc for providing Sonic drink to our students who achieved 15 or more AR points in the month of January. Thanks to Bailey Tutor of Pontotoc Middle School for providing pizza to our students who earned 25 AR points in the month of January.
Several students reached these goals, but others are trying hard this month to get the rewards also. Keep reading, students!

(2/10): Last week, our sixth grade science students put Newton’s First Law of Motion also known as the Law of Inertia (or as we like to call it, “Objects Be Lazy!”) to the test with hands-on Inertia Stations! They watched in amazement as a penny dropped straight into a cup when the card beneath it was flicked away—proof that objects at rest really like to stay at rest! Matchbox cars slammed into barriers, reminding us that without an outside force, motion doesn’t change. Books slid right off chairs with a satisfying plop onto the floor, spinning eggs kept us guessing what was inside each one, and rubber bands helped us measure just how much force it takes to break inertia’s grip. (2/10): This week in sixth grade STEM, students have been getting their creative juices flowing with Brush Ninja! 🎨✨ They're cooking up their own stories and scenes, bringing characters to life one frame at a time. Who knew making movies could be this fun?

(2/6): Congrats to these students who were recognized as positive praise recipients this week. They were acknowledged for their character, manners, or friendly ways in the classroom or halls.

(2/6): 6th grade ELA students enjoyed a lunch treat of cheesy, chicken and rice provided by their teachers for meeting growth on their winter benchmark. Keep up the great work students!

(2/6): ELA students add gaming to AR! Students will use this exciting hallway display created by our own Mrs. B. Tutor to track their Accelerated Reading points each week! Let the games begin!

(2/5): PMS is recognizing National Kindness Week during February 18 - 21, 2025. Students are encouraged to participate and display random acts of kindness to a classmate each day.
