(5/9): PMS students were recognized for demonstrating positive characteristics this week. Thank you for being great Warriors in the classrooms and hallways.

(5/8): PMS Nurse Ashley is the most caring one around. She is always smiling and loving on the students. Our school would not make it without her!

(5/8): PMS Sixth grade girls can try out for the PJH Volleyball team on May 20-21 at PHS gym. Girls must have a physical to try out.

(5/8): PMS sixth grade girls can try out for the PHS Softball Team on May 22 -23, from 3:30 - 5:30 at the PHS Softball field (located at D.T. Cox campus). A physical is required and girls trying out will need glove, cleats, and water.

(5/7): Sixth grade ELA students are prepping for the state test with Smart Cookies, Genius Juice, and a “Brain Dump” of testing strategies and ELA tips and tricks.

(5/6): 6th graders spent some time competing in the Math Olympics this week to review for their upcoming state test. They competed in long jump, dribbling basketball, blowing paperclips, jumping rope, leg stretch and shooting hoops. After competing with their groups they found the mean, median, mode and range of each set of data. They had a blast!!!

(5/3): Pontotoc Middle School’s 6th grade ELA student intern, Chloe Schuetzle, won the Ole Miss Student Teacher Vision award for her hard work and success in the classroom this semester. There were 1300 candidates, and Ms. Schuetzle was nominated and won the award for her and Mrs. Ross’ success in the classroom on the December benchmark growth.

(5/3): PHS VOlleyball Camp will be May 8-9 at PHS Gym. The time of camp is 3:30 - 6:00 each day. The cost of camp is $40. Forms are in the office. If you have questions please email Coach Wade, [email protected]

(5/3): PMS Sixth graders who scored a 5 on any spring benchmark were rewarded with an exempt day at school this week. They played games in the courtyard and tennis courts, kickball on football field, and ate popcorn. Thanks for working hard on the last benchmark.
